Kung Fu Power with Hung Kuen’s 10 Animal Poses

I like to finish my exercise workouts with some form of cooldown whether it be traditional stretching, yoga holds, tai chi, qi gong, or maybe even a soft Kung Fu.

Doing relaxation focusing exercises is important for transitioning the body from a high stress “fight or flight” sympathetic nervous system to a low stressed “rest and digest” parasympathetic nervous system.

We want to spend most of our day in a low physical and mental well being state.

Regular practice—even just 10 minutes daily—can permanently enhance focus, reduce anxiety, improve sleep quality, and lower blood pressure.

Take Away

Pose exercises, such as those in yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, or Hung Kuen, offer comprehensive benefits by combining physical movement with deep breathing to increase your strength, flexibility and balance.

Regular practice reduces chronic pain (especially in the back and neck), improves posture, lowers stress, and promotes better sleep and mental relaxation.
